Invariably, we all suffer from puffy eyes now then. Some people have hereditary puffy or age defining lines around the eye area, whilst some of us probably eat more salty food than others, which causes you to retain water and leads to swelling in the eye area. There are also certain allergies that can cause inflammation and can sometimes exacerbate under-eye puffiness. Some home remedies can help an inflamed eye area. You could try “cold and compress” whereby you apply a clean wet cotton face pad to the eye area or perhaps try a facial massage? Another option is to apply tea bags which can draw water out of the under eye area and bring down swelling. Alternatively you can also help the eye area with “eye-bright” extract. This special extract is a herb with a long history of medicinal use, particularly for eye ailments, with evidence suggesting it benefits inflamed and irritated eyes. As such, here at H2k we’ve spent time developing a “contour eye-gel.” using a beautiful blend of aloe vera and eye bright extract. The results are amazing, minimising the look of puffiness and dark circles whilst refreshing the delicate skin around the eyes.
Tip of the week for first thing in the morning: as we age, our eyes can become more puffy. Enough so that, when you wake up, fluid can often be trapped in your lower eye lids, so “start blinking” and you may notice your puffiness reduce slightly.
